Tester Promoted Anti-Trump Violence

The Washington Examiner had an article today with this tidbit:

In 2018, as Tester was seeking a third term, controversy swirled over promotional materials for an Aug. 13 concert fundraiser for the senator’s campaign featuring a drawing of Trump lying dead on the ground, with the White House, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial ablaze. At the time, Tester’s campaign insisted it neither condoned violence nor approved of the poster, which also depicted a gleeful Tester flying on a tractor above the word “vote” etched in the sky. The poster was co-created by Jeff Ament, a longtime friend of Tester and Pearl Jam’s bassist, the Washington Post reported in 2018.

Remember when Jon Tester said the way to deal with Trump was to punch him in the face?

The most recent Montana polls have Trump up by 20%, and Sheehy up by only 5%. That means 15% are planning on voting for both Trump and Tester. If you are one of those people, think about the following:

  • Your Senate candidate is completely opposed to your presidential candidate. He will do everything he can to stop Trump’s agenda.
  • Your Senate candidate could very easily be the vote that makes the difference between having Chuck Schumer as Senate majority leader or Steve Daines. Which senator do you think will be better for Montana?
  • Your Senate candidate voted with Joe Biden 95% of the time. His record is indistinguishable from Chuck Schumer or Elizabeth Warren.
  • Your Senate candidate voted for the only gun control legislation to pass the Senate in a decade. And he had to quickly backtrack when he found out that he voted to eliminate hunter education in schools. He was against it before he was for it.
  • Your Senate candidate was the winning vote for the badly named Inflation Reduction Act, which has led to the rampant inflation we’re now dealing with. Don’t like the cost of groceries? You voted for it.

If you’re part of that 15%, you’re part of the problem.
