Matt Rosendale, when he was still planning on running for another US House term two weeks ago, mentioned in his town hall conference call that the 4473s that were taken by the IRS in the Highwoods Creek raid had been returned.
That doesn’t answer the question of what happened to those forms. Removing them was illegal, and if copies were made or they were put into a database the law was broken.
We still don’t know who told the ATF agent on site to stand down. We still don’t know why the IRS took those forms that have no financial information and where the IRS would have no lawful use.
Highwoods Creek Outfitters didn’t respond to my email asking if there was any change in the situation. Understandable if they’re still in litigation with the IRS. There’s nothing on their website. Their GiveSendGo has fallen well short and has not been updated in a long time.
Will we ever find out what happened? Will there ever be justice?
